From Washington D.C.
2 hour drive
To the Lodge
Take I-66 west
Take Route 29 South (the Gainesville Exit)
Take a right onto Route 609 (7 miles south of Culpeper)
Stay on Route 609 until it T's at the Stop sign
Take right onto 231 North
Take left onto Route 670 (1/4 of a mile)
Graves Mountain Lodge is on the left after 4 miles
To the cabin
Don't make the left up to Graves mountan Lodge. Keep going on the road you
are on. It will continue for a mile or so before it goes from paved to gravel.
Keep going on the gravel road until you cross over a small bridge. Once you pass
the bridge, it will be the first right. It is very easy to miss the turn into
the driveway. It is only about 100 feet past the bridge. There is a little sign
that says upper cabin. The driveway goes about 50 feet and wraps over to the
cabin itself. There is a fire pit in the front 'yard' which will be burning
constantly if I have anything to do with it.
